02-05-19Vermont Energy has been my choice for new furnace installations since 1984 -the year they started the business. They installed our most recent new furnace in 2017, and it's been problem free. Marshall and Mark have always been a great pleasure to work with, and I wanted to share our most recent experience as an example of their commitment to great customer service. We were about to go on vacation last week when our condensate pump (not part of the furnace install) failed. I purchase a new one but had an issue with installation. We couldn't leave without having the pump operational - We called VT Energy, and Marshall personally stopped by our home and took care of the problem for us, despite a very busy schedule. Not only that, but he did so without charge! Customer service does not get any better than that. They are great folks to deal with - genuinely nice and committed to making sure their customers are happy with their work.

03-04-16I absolutely do NOT recommend this company. I had them come for a service call and it ended up costing me $332 and my problem went unresolved. They were not willing to work with me on that price at all, even though I was never told the price of the zone valve they recommended I install, to attempt to fix the problem. I understand the cost of sending someone out, and in the (overpriced product) they installed to fix it, but not working with me when a problem wasn't solved leaves me extremely disappointed. I had considered them for another project until I got the invoice. Expect arrogance when dealing with them, and expensive service prices. Look elsewhere.

12-19-14Install crew was totally professional and answered all questions.
Had unforeseen problems with water quality. Water had sulphur odor immediately after installation. Magnesium anode rod was replace with aluminum (alloy?) rod. Sulpher odor gone. Chlorine bleach dumped into tank. 12 days later, chlorine odor is 90% gone.
Second water issue: water now blue-tinted. Possibly from copper pipes? Unresolved. This is a wait and see issue.
Mark Stephenson was on top of the problems from the get-go. Thorough and professional about handling the problems.

01-01-11We think we dealt with people who were professionals across all levels of the organization. People were good to their word, communication was prompt and specific, the work was done and fine tuned until it was right. My only negative insight was the hole in the boiler plates were there over the three visits needed to identify the problem...low water and a hyperactive tank filler. I wish we'd been able to spot the leak right off - it would have saved us a couple of hundred $. But no hard feelings. Once we knew what was wrong, a complicated exchange took place practically without a hitch.

The onsite crew, Pete, in particular, was just great to work with. He is one of the most thorough and pleasant technicians I've met. Bottom line......I was impressed with the quality of the entire operation.
